Christians, what do you think we would find if we had a sample of Jesus' DNA?

This is purely hypothetical of course.

Do you think he would have devine DNA- as in different to humans?
Do you think that half his DNA would match that of Mary (ie, half human half devine)

If someone in modern day was believed to be the son of god, this would be the first thing I would want to check (after observing miracles of course).. What do you think such a test would reveal?

What would happen if he had children?
If he had human DNA, do you think it would be possible to clone him?- Would the clone be able to perform miracles?

Just something to think about.

One could only speculate. Doing so, one of two things happened:

1. God created the single cell in its entirety - fully fertilized. Jesus DNA would then have no human counterpart.

2. God created a single sperm cell which fertilized one of Mary's eggs. Jesus' DNA would have then come from a combination of a genetically perfect divine counterpart (similar to Adam's DNA), and an imperfect human counterpart from Mary.

Personally, I think #2 is the more likely scenario and would be more consistent with scripture in descriptions of Jesus' nature.

-Miracles come through teh Holy Spirit, genetics has nothing to do with it.

-It may be entirely possible the combination of perfect + imperfect DNA may have produced sterility. Who knows.
