Shea Butter is Good for Dark Circles Under Eye?

I'm using the JR Watkins Apothecary Aloe & Green Tea Shea butter under my eyes to try and see if it helps with dark circles under my eyes, but I've never seen much of a difference. I read somewhere This is good for you, but now I'm starting to doubt that source. Anyone know for sure? or know the proper way to apply it? At night, morning or both? Any help is greatly appreciated. oh, and I use the concealer, I just use extra foundation under my eyes to help conceal dark circles.
