Dangerously Dark

What is most painful accident you have ever had?

Personal, the most painful accident was when I was walking beside the road on the way home from a carnival. There was a little 'string' at the side of the street to prevent you from falling - because it is too dark. While I was walking, car comes dangerously close to me, and I kind of flung myself off the road, within the 'rope'. It is dramatic as that it sounds. Unfortunatley, I can not think of WHY there was a 'rope' there. I fell into a ditch 10 feet deep - full of stones. Thankfully, I hit my head, but I hit every other part of my body. It hurt SO bad, thankfully some people are close and helped me out. So, what is painful accident occurred you? Is it bad like mine? Have fun!

When I was young I was hit by a car and landed on my head. When I was a teen I went off a jump on my bike, landed on my head and split my skull open. And when I am nearing 20 I and 2 friends ran a car with a telephone pole and sprained my neck and broke my nose when I hit the windshield. That last one probably hurt the most.

The Dark Side

Nothing is right! Why is it that we love to point out the failures in others we ALL for them. Granted, Some have more serious problems than others but we all have a dark side to fight. Thoughts that visit us often knows no about is always ready to swing into action for the first good opportunity. Pity those who do not really dealt with their limitations.

Mark gave it two wise advice, "Whoever had a buffalo by the tail knows five or six things over to someone who does not."

Until we come to grips with the ego to separate itself apart from all others, we continue to see ourselves as somewhat more just and more than all desereving others. And, we have a little good to those who really need help because we do not know what "needs help" is all about.

There was a time when Shimei would have his head cut off immediately. Shimei is a man of the Israelite tribe of Benjamin held a deep grudge against King David. Had a time when Absolom, his son, can be a big deal in danger as well. You Shimei cursed David threw stones at him, David is not responding, or let his companions either.

See, David had faced his own dark side.

Daivd is committed adultery, murder, and who knows what all. He knew his humanity, his limitations and he cried out to God (Psalm 51) to whom his greatest pain is seen. David walked by drakest pool and saw her mercy and need to so he can give mercy. God save us from the religion of the Pharisees now not communicated their dark side, they did fight their limits.

It's hard to be humble in America!

It is even more difficult seek and give mercy to the American church? There are rules, doctrines, dogmas, confrontations, counseling, deliverances, and a host of punishments for those who go to vice! Did I mention the ex-communication too? We all need a Nathan to confront us, but what we do not need a crowd of Pharisees looking over our shoulders to judge and condemn the things they decided was not good for them. Si Jesus does not punish us!

It is a sad commentary against the church in America, especially the people down and not see the church as a place to help. They see the church and the prohibition on the use of synonyms, not churches and mercy. As Donald McCullough wrote, "the abject humiliaion David announced his his true greatness; when his power is most - he wrecked showed itself most regal. "

And maybe we forgotten, Jesus the Christ came from the line of David. David, "A man after God's own heart". This is not about what you've done or want to do, but how you succeed in your face and dark side, by the grace of God!
