The UVA and UVB protection degrade a pair of sunglasses?
The UVA and UVB protection degrade a pair of sunglasses, or the protection last for ever in any pair of glasses I get from Oakley to any other brand?

You spend hours in the water.
You have cataracts removed.
Spend most of your time outside.
You like wearing dark glasses.
You regularly exposed to UV light.
You live where the ozone layer is thin.
What Protect My Eyes?
Wearing glasses, whether dark or explicitly gives you some protection against UV, but overall only protection from a UV Filter or Lens Polycarbonate. Other lens materials provide different degrees of UV protection.
Standard Plastic - Number of lenses can yellow over time manufacturers add a small amount of UV filters materials. They give about 92% UV protection.
Glass - As they do not absorb any UV give them no protection.
Lenses that darken to sunlight - These lenses go dark for UV light, so they change to block all UV.
UV filter - This is a lens coating to guarantee provide 100% protection against all types of UV.
